The result, of almost 30 years experience, provides a multi disciplined base of expertise - civil/structural engineering, building/quantity surveying, contract advice, financial, consulting and project management.

Assignments, gained primarily in the oil and gas and construction sectors, cover works for both private clients and UK public listed companies.

There has been a particular emphasis on wellsites (150+ UK and internationally) and infrastructure works associated with onshore oil/gas exploration and development. Projects have included both green field and rehabilitation development sites.

Overseas projects managed have often been in remote locations and include works in Algeria, Bangladesh, Holland, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Libya, Russia, Spain, Sudan, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia and Uganda.

Some recent work highlights

  • Detailed contract management of a £65million underground gas storage (UGS) project in Hampshire; supplier/sub-contract selection, terms & conditions of contract, letters of intent, parent company guarantees, performance/security sureties and bonds.
  • Project management of a £12m UGS booster gas compression project. Responsible for all disciplines – civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and AFE financial monitoring and control.
  • Contract management responsibilities for onshore/offshore feasibility/concept studies, specifically contract terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements and commercial control.
  • Extensive well site, access road, base camp design and supervision in Bangladesh, Spain, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
  • Feasibility studies to assess civil engineering activities associated with developing onshore oil production facilities in North Buzachi, in Kazakhstan and Khurmala, Hamrin, Luhais & Subba, in Iraq.
  • Feasibility studies to assess civil engineering associated with developing LPG offloading facilities at Chittagong port, Bangladesh.
 


Established as a Practice of Surveyors and Engineers in 1982, Weeks (UK) Ltd was incorporated in 1986. First international work was carried out in 1991. A branch office was opened in Bangladesh in 1995 following the incorporation of Weeks (Bangladesh) Ltd.

In 1999 a local firm of quantity surveyors/CDM co-ordinators DAE Associates was purchased and Weeks (DAE) was incorporated.
