CDM Co-Ordination

Clients responsibilities (and liabilities)

  • Client is default CDM Coordinator AND default Principle Contractor
  • Must make and maintain suitable arrangements for safe work, welfare, and ensure that built structures meet Workplace (HSW) Regs
  • Must appoint CDM coordinator as soon as initial design work begins
  • Must empower CDM coordinator; must allow sufficient resource
  • Must provide information promptly (from start and throughout project)
  • Must allow a suitable mobilisation period ß Must sign notification to HSE (F10)
  • Must provide all information in his possession required for H& S File

A key project advisor to client in respect of construction health and safety management.

 


Established as a Practice of Surveyors and Engineers in 1982, Weeks (UK) Ltd was incorporated in 1986. First international work was carried out in 1991. A branch office was opened in Bangladesh in 1995 following the incorporation of Weeks (Bangladesh) Ltd.

In 1999 a local firm of quantity surveyors/CDM co-ordinators DAE Associates was purchased and Weeks (DAE) was incorporated.
